NNTP Server as a Windows Network Service
Loupanec, Josef ; Ráb, Jaroslav (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This work includes specification and analysis of requirements, design and implementation of the internet news server. The server controls newsgroups and associated news. It provides availability of the articles by NNTP protocol and HTTP protocol (by web interface). The server supports a user authentication and an optional proxy mode, when all NNTP requests are resent to another remote NNTP server.  A mechanism that provides news-downloading from remote NNTP servers and performs distribution function is included too. The application is designed to run on MS Windows NT (and higher version) as a NT service. The server is configurable by a graphic user interface. The work also includes theoretical information needed for successful accomplishment of the above-mentioned requirements.
Transformation of Web Applications into Web Services
Zámečník, Miroslav ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Weiss, Petr (advisor)
Present web is aiming to the possibility of automatization of user behavior on web applications. Adding of semantics and creation of web service interface are the main approaches for accomplishment of this user comfort. Nevertheless, this direction brings some problems which can make more difficult publishing and implementation of web documents. Web services can connect heterogeneous systems, because they are based on XML markup language that is a place where all applications can meet without lost of platform independence. The automatic transformation of a web application into a web service could be considerably more effective than to create a web service from the beginning. However, this step is for some applications almost unreal without knowledge of their inner structure. In most cases, the transformation will be done semiautomatically with help of human decisions.
Implementation of IoTivity Framework on Various Hardware Platforms
Přistal, Martin ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Pokorný, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis concerns with a research of project IoTivity. In this work are described methods of communication for a different ways of data transmission and an architecture, on which this project is based. In the next step thesis is aiming for usage in real life and practical output in the form of building communication from different elements based on different architectures in the Client - Server communication scenario.
Design and implementation of an IMS network with extended functions using Open IMS Core.
Šulgan, Peter ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Ježek, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the architecture of the IP Multimedia Subsystem, its main elements and extension functions. It also deals with the implementation of the IMS network in the simulation environment Open IMS Core, which is also briefly described. The first chapter describes the IMS architecture divided into layers and it also defines the basic elements such as CSCF and HSS. In addition, it briefly characterizes the most commonly used communication protocols and the structure of identity in IMS. The second chapter deals with the open source environment Open IMS Core, it briefly defines the individual parts and contains a list of configuration files. The third chapter introduces the additional services offered by the IMS architecture. It characterizes their basic functions and their way of working. The fourth chapter focuses on the practical part of the bachelor thesis. It describes configuration procedure of the Open IMS Core and testing of its functionality. It is divided into four sections according to the individual configuration steps.
FreeIPA - URI Based Access Management

Persistent identifiers and their use in digital libraries
Jílková, Marta ; Drobíková, Barbora (advisor) ; Vorlíčková, Blanka (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to present persistent identification systems and analysis of the use of persistent identifiers for digital objects on a sample of national digital libraries. The first part is a brief introduction to digital libraries. The second part describes selected permanent identification systems. The third part explains elements of selected national digital libraries. The last section is an analysis of the use of persistent identifiers in various national digital libraries. Keywords: persistent identifier, persistent identification system, URI, URN, PURL, Handle, DOI, ARK, digital library, national library, digital object
